The traditional art curriculum is one of the major features in LJIS. In October, LJIS invited Mr. Xu Zhixiong, a master of Spices clay art, to teach the students making puppet show dolls.

The puppets are made of wood power, and the cost is low. In the era when the puppet show was a big hit, the grandmaster used the spices clay to replace the expensive pottery. He made countless puppets to satisfy the desire of many fans, and he created great fortune for himself.

With the changes of the times, making dolls out of spices clay in now an entertaining activity instead of a skill to make a living, but it is an important part of our culture.

Look! Our students are very interested in the performance of the puppet show and it showed the charm of traditional art.

On December 27 this year, a Nanguan & Traditional Art Festival concert will be held in LJIS. Students will perform by the puppets they made.

On Fridays, they will practice how to work the puppets. Staffs in LJIS will continue supporting them in the preparation stages.
